Divers required for 6 month contract in Glasgow starting end September 2021.

Estimator

This role is an excellent opportunity for a Marine / Civils Estimator to join an excellent, stable growing company that offers the potential for unlimited growth and progression. Your responsibilities will be:

  • Production of accurate and comprehensive estimates for projects in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Control of the estimating process at project level.
  • Production of estimates on multi-disciplinary projects;
  • Supporting development and promotion of estimating best practice;
  • Staying abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise

Required Skills are;

  • Experience in Estimating / Quantity Surveying or Marine Civil Engineering.
  • Relevant experience providing estimating and/or cost planning;
  • Understanding of project management, planning, and risk:
  • Understanding of cost planning and experience of producing first principles estimates.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience of working in a client facing eniroment.

Quantity Surveyor

This role is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an excellent, stable, growing company that offers the potential for unlimited development and progression. Your responsibilities will be:

  • Review, understand and communicate Contract requirements to the Delivery Team.
  • The production of monthly applications, invoices and final accounts.
  • The production of the monthly project cost reports.
  • Initiate Compensation Events and Variations
  • Maintain registers of variations, delay, extension of time, early warnings and claims.
  • Production of Sub-Contract agreements.
  • Management of these Sub-Contracts.
  • Support the Project Manager in resolving commercial issues.

The required skills are;

  • Degreed qualified (preferred), but not essential
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Sound working knowledge of construction and contract law and various forms of the NEC Conditions of Contract.
  • Experience of cost forecasting and reporting, cost control, cost risk management, contract documentation preparation, contract administration.
  • Excellent work ethic.
