TMS three Hopper Barges arrived safely in Shetland yesterday, ready for phase two of the works to begin
All Three of our Hopper Barges have been in for refit & painting & are now looking like new and ready to start works in Shetland next week.
TMS raised a 24 ft Colvic fishing vessel last week which had been deliberately grounded on the rocks just outside Torquay harbour when it began to take on water.
The vessel was raised using divers attaching 4 x 1T lifting bags. Once re-floated the vessel – ‘Sea Breeze’ was towed back to Torquay where she was towed onto the slipway and pumped out.
TMS have been awarded the works at Ghyll Head jetty on Lake Windermere, this project consists of removing an existing 20m wooden jetty along with an existing 20mx10m concrete slipway, we will then be installing a new reinforced concrete slipway alongside permanent timber piles as construction of the new wooden jetty, for access to the lake. All of the works will need to be carried out afloat from a uni-float barge, this will have been constructed & installed on the opposite side of the lake at Lakeside.
Installation of the new Jetty is coming along nicely
