What our customers say about TMS
"Throughout 2007 and early 2008 TMS were sub-contracted to Black & Veatch to assist with the construction of a £5m marine pipeline and pumping station on the River Dart, Dartmouth, Devon. Their works included the following elements:
- Marine transport including tugs, workboats, pontoons, spud leg barges and hopper bottomed barges
- Provision of site compound and loading area
- Provision of dive team and related equipment
- Provision of safety boat
- Demolition from a pontoon
- Provision and operation of long reached excavators
TMS’s subcontract value for the provision of the above services was in excess of £250k. TMS undertook their works in a professional manner and provided a round-the-clock service whenever necessary. The management, crew and other operatives carried out their work both competently and safely resulting in the completion of their subcontract with no accidents or incidents. Their plant and equipment is well maintained and there were no breakdowns during their subcontracted duration.
During the execution of their work for Black & Veatch I observed TMS carrying out works for other clients within the Dart Estuary, including construction of landing stages and the dredging of a marina. This work was also carried out with equal regard to safety and efficiency.
Since the completion of the pumping station scheme TMS have assisted with the pricing of two further schemes which include tubular pile driving and the installation of significant sheet piled cofferdams both schemes utilising their crane barge. Their estimates for the schemes have been competitive and the experience of their management team has enabled them to offer value engineered and cost saving solutions".
